About Garrett

Garrett is a Lead Advisor at Marcum Wealth. He develops and nurtures client relationships and manages the delivery of wealth management solutions that help our clients realize their personal goals and aspirations.

Garrett holds an MBA in Finance from Belmont University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Post University. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Garrett’s philosophy is that your legacy is greater than your currency.

Garrett served nearly ten years on active duty in the U.S. Army, with one tour in Afghanistan during 2010. He continues to serve in the Tennessee National Guard. Garrett also hosts a Podcast called “Operation: Veteran Finance” where he shares his knowledge to help the military community with their financial mission.

Garrett is married to Mrs. Alyssa Sorensen and has one son, Mattix Sorensen. Garrett is a leader in his community, serving on several advisory and veteran boards in Nashville. He also volunteers at the local county prison system to teach financial literacy to the inmates. Garrett enjoys riding motorcycles, staying physically active, and believes traveling and vacations are the key to a happy life.
